Ni-hard and Ni-resist cast irons

Ni-hard and Ni-resist cast irons are both types of white cast irons designed for specific applications. Ni-hard, due to its high nickel and chromium content, martensitic structure, and the presence of chromium carbides, has exceptional hardness and wear resistance and is used in parts such as mill liners and crusher blades. On the other hand, Ni-resist, with its high nickel content, offers excellent thermal stability and corrosion resistance in corrosive environments and high temperatures in addition to moderate wear resistance, and is suitable for corrosive fluid pumps, turbine components, and the oil and gas industry. In general, Ni-hard is used for severe abrasion conditions and Ni-resist is used for corrosive environments and high temperatures.
